Process
While my practice moves between films, photos, and words, it remains rooted in the same question:
how do we make meaning from our lives?
In film, I develop projects from beginning to completion, working across directing, screenwriting, and producing. I love building carefully constructed worlds that are specific and rich, while maintaining the invitation for others to step into. One of my greatest joys is to collaborate with performers, composers, and visual artists to create a dynamic recognition of aliveness with my audience.
In photography, I'm drawn to intimacy and presence, creating images that feel spatially considered and emotionally honest. Through prioritizing and honoring someone's comfort and ease, people soften in front of the camera and get to feel seen as themselves.
In my writing my work explores memory, queerness, identity, and human connection, moving between intimacy and disconnect to examine how experience shapes perception and selfhood.
